10x10 Event

 

EXPERTS HELP GUIDE THE FUTURE

The Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation will go live with its seventh annual 10x10 speaker event at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17. The 10 x10 is a community-wide event that consists of 10 experts speaking on 10 different topics for 10 minutes each.

Topics included:

  • Digital Privacy – Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin

  • Vaccines and What We’ve Learned From Covid – David Meline, CFO, Moderna

  • Active Shooter: Stop the Bleed – Bill Ashland, RN, Trauma Program Director & Lori Acevedo, RN, Trauma Nurse Coordinator/Injury Prevention Coordinator, Los Robles Health System

  • The Drought and Climate Change – Dave Pedersen, General Manager, Las Virgenes Municipal Water District

  • Shift in the Education Paradigm – Dr. Dan Stepenosky, Superintendent, Las Virgenes Unified School District

  • Helping the Unhoused – John Maceri, Chief Executive Officer, The People Concern

  • Alternative Energy Solutions– SoCalGas

  • Wildlife Crossing – Beth Pratt, Regional Executive Director, California Wildlife Federation

  • Digital Communication and Bias in Journalism – Tim Gallagher, Co-owner, The 2020 Network

The goal of the Future Foundation’s 10x10 is to foster thought and further discussion about the future of the region as the community continues to grow and change.
